Become a trainer

There are two ways to become a trainer.

Our trainer certification gives you the tools to design and deliver ownership workshops, with the full backing of the Ownership At Work methodology and materials. What you do with it varies widely.

A facilitated session around a long table
Route 1

Inside your own organisation

You are an L&D lead, training coordinator or HR business partner and deliver the sessions to your own teams. You receive the structure and the materials. You already know the context better than we do.

Internal L&D professionals · HR Business Partners

Route 2

As an independent facilitator

You work as a freelance trainer or workshop facilitator and add a structured ownership programme to what you already offer, with the methodology and the materials behind it.

Independent trainers · Coaches with their own practice

What you deliver

Five themes, five sessions.

This is the content you are certified to deliver. For each theme, the full structure, the exercises and the materials are in the workshop library, so you never start from a blank page.

  1. 01

    Ownership mindset & accountability

  2. 02

    Psychological safety & trust

  3. 03

    Autonomy, mastery & purpose

  4. 04

    Feedback culture & continuous learning

  5. 05

    Shared leadership & collective responsibility

The certification

One
day.

A focused trainer certification on workshop design and facilitation.

Not a two-day programme on the full methodology: that is the consultant route. This is about the session itself, and about you in front of the group.

What happens that day.

Workshop design

How a session is built, and why its parts come in that order.

Facilitation

Leading the session when a group goes quiet, drifts off or will not have the conversation.

Adapting to your audience

Guidance on adapting the content to different audiences and contexts.

Investment, start dates and location are discussed in the introductory conversation.

What you receive

You do not have to
build anything yourself.

The full workshop library

Access to all Ownership At Work workshop materials: the structure of each session, the working formats, the handouts and guidance on adapting content to different audiences and contexts.

Co-branding and support

You receive co-branding rights and support from the Ownership At Work marketing team. Alongside that, a community of certified trainers for exchange and development.

What the co-branding involves exactly and what you may do with the materials is discussed in the introductory conversation.

Who it is for

Who stands in front of the group today.

Experience in front of a group helps. The admission requirements we set are discussed in the introductory conversation. What matters most is whether you want to deliver the session yourself, not just discuss the report.

  • Internal L&D and training professionals

  • Independent trainers and facilitators

  • Coaches who want to add structured ownership content to their practice

  • HR Business Partners who deliver team development sessions

Two certifications

Trainer or consultant?

The difference is not the level, it is the work. A trainer delivers the sessions. A consultant runs the diagnosis and guides the programme around it.

What we discuss in the conversation

We do not put the terms on a web page.

Price, fees and what you may do with the materials: those are agreements, not product features. We go through them in the introductory conversation, so you know where you stand afterwards.
